09.02.10 White Rock Lake
Dallas is boring. White Rock Lake doubly so. I took some pictures though while out there a few weeks back.

Once I got the itch to take portraits again, I did some brief scouting of a spot I had used last summer – an undeveloped subdivision in McKinney. Wasn’t sure if it’d still be just as untouched as it had been, and luckily, it was. Shooting here as much as possible while I can, to say the least. Took some portraits of Hannah to start.
I took some photos out around some fields of corn end of July. They’re gone now, so not sure I got anything I liked, but at least I took pictures while they were up.
I spent my final day in Venice and Italy with a few friends from the trip who were staying some extra time on the island of Lido. The town we went to was Alberoni.
One more post of Venice after this one. It’s been a little over a month now since the trip. This post is actually a combo of two days. Essentially, at this point in the trip, I had reached the limits of my mental capacity for information and constant exploration. But that didn’t mean I didn’t stop appreciating the place.
The second full day of Venice was spent outside the lagoon – we traveled the Veneto province, mainly to observe the architectural designs of Palladio. It was an enjoyable day, despite spurts of rain.
Final leg of the trip: Venice. Such a beautiful place, and a unique experience for obvious reasons. I was maybe starting to get burnt out, but I’m glad this was what our conclusion would be – it was quite fitting.
After leaving Florence for Venice, a quick stop was made in Padua. It’s most famous for the Arena Chapel frescoes by Giotto. I saw them, but no pictures were allowed. Most of the post is just more street life. It was a strange city, it felt more spread out and empty than other stops we made. A quiet town really.
This second bit is the other half of Florence. It’s essentially just one long day of walking through the city. Not too much more (really?) after this post (transit to Venice comes next).
Well, these are pretty old at this point, but I did at least want to get the collection of images up before life turns hectic once more with school. This is just the first half of images, done at an older home (somewhat Victorian). Model is Sam, the styling and dress itself is by Liz.
