12.10.09 A brief shoot with Alex
I got the urge to shoot just as dusk was approaching. However, dusk lighting is quite nice when you have a capable D700, I must say. The cold weather and my smart idea of wading out into mud infested fields is really what brought things to a close though. I at least have some ideas and a good location for whatever remaining shoots I do this year. Apologies for the .jpg artifacts on the blowups.
The sky was quite a lovely blue and violet gradient.
These are nixed of contrast so I can do some more controlled adjustments in Photoshop later.
We trekked back to dry ground, and Alex went barefoot at this point. Yes, her shoes were that bad.
Worth adding that, yeah, going shoeless made the cold that much more shiver inducing.
I think this might be my favorite. Really says winter to me, or something.
“Okay, we’re done here.” D700 with the 50 1.4 (wide open towards the end).
